Youth for Christ Winnipeg is looking for a full-time, permanent Director of Camp Cedarwood, located at Pinawa Bay - Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba.   The Director will reside at the Camp. Cedarwood is a ministry of YFC Winnipeg. We host rental groups, run a successful summer camp and invite students to join us in our discipleship program.

 

To ensure that the YFC mission statement and YFC values are fulfilled within the context of a service environment, the Director will provide spiritual direction and give spiritual oversight to the Cedarwood staff team and assume full responsibility for overseeing on-site staff and operations for Camp Cedarwood to ensure work safety and maximum ministry impact in a service environment and to ensure all aspects of Cedarwood’s services and facilities are at a high level of excellence.

 

The Director will work with the Executive Director and Senior Director of Operations in Winnipeg to determine policies and procedures for operations and in property and capital project decisions. The position will oversee a leadership team at the camp to facilitate the operations of facilities and ministry focus for all groups, rentals, retreats and programming. 

 

It is preferable that the successful candidate for this position have post-secondary education and ministry leadership experience. The candidate must be passionate about people and has a heart for ministry, have a committed relationship with Jesus Christ, a growing faith and the freedom to share the same.

 

The successful candidate must have the ability to live and work in a camp environment, be flexible and patient in nature, have skills in office management and accounting and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

 

As Youth for Christ is a faith-based organization, a successful candidate must be able to affirm and support our organization’s Statement of Faith, and be committed to our mission. As well, he or she must live in vital union with Jesus Christ and be an active participant in a local church.
