Youth for Christ Winnipeg is looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as the Year Round Ministry Coordinator at Camp Cedarwood. The Year Round Ministry Coordinator will reside at the Camp, located at Pinawa Bay - Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. Camp Cedarwood is a ministry of YFC Winnipeg that provides youth with a camp experience that is rooted in the Gospel with a focus on excellence, while allowing them to experience new and exciting opportunities through our programs and activities.

A successful candidate for this position will recognize first and foremost that they will play a significant and vital role in the success of Camp Cedarwood; what you will do here will have an important impact on the young people and guests who attend and enjoy Camp Cedarwood’s beautiful facility and setting. If you are passionate about helping others, and want to use your experience, skills, and knowledge to support the ministry of YFC in changing the lives of youth, then this may be the position for you.

● Provide oversight and direction for ministry activities at the camp throughout the year.

● Work to find opportunities to engage the guests of the camp with the gospel message of Jesus.

● Be a resource to the staff and volunteers at camp as they work to engage the mission within their respective areas and help them by connecting their work with the ministry at camp.

● Be available to have spiritual conversations with guests, staff and volunteers as we work to further the mission.

● Participate in the planning and execution of the summer camp ministry.

● Look for new ministry opportunities within the scope of the camp ministry mandate.

● Assist in summer follow-up ministry.

● Maintain a close, intimate relationship with God as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

● Be an active participant in the life of a local church.

● Affirm and support our organization’s Community Covenant and Statement of Faith, and be committed to YFC’s mission.

● Able to live and work in a camp environment while being flexible and patient in nature.

● A post-secondary or Bible School education and a minimum of one year of ministry leadership experience would be an asset.

● Embrace YFC’s core values with a strong heart for evangelism.

● Strong communication, organizational and administrative skills.

● Take initiative, pay close attention to details, and be willing to adapt.

● Able to work well in a team as well as on your own.

● Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
